When you turn on the tap for a glass of water, you should be confident that the water coming from the faucet is clean and safe to drink. However, in the San Diego region, this is not always the case. Gabriel Carini Testing San Diego Tap Water for Hardness & Sediment Levels
In the video below, Gabriel Carini uses three different water testing procedures to compare the quality of ordinary tap water and filtered water. In the first test, Gabriel uses a bonding solution and a dye to show the contaminants in tap water, including the calcium carbonate that causes the sediment build-up on faucets and showerheads. In the second test, he uses a device that determines how many parts per million of solids are in both the tap water and filtered water. And, finally, he performs a grains per gallon test to determine the water hardness levels of the two samples.
